Dr. Dan Beers

Dr. Dan Beers is an ophthalmologist at Mountain View's Peninsula Laser Eye Medical Group. Specializing in refractive laser eye surgery, lens implantation, and cataract surgery, Dr. Dan Beers has evidenced his dedication to his patients over his long and accomplished career.

Particularly expert in the use of Lasik surgery for vision correction, Dr. Dan Beers utilizes the latest VISX Wavefront and IntraLase systems to ensure unparalleled accuracy and safety. Having undergone laser vision correction surgery himself, Dr. Dan Beers plans each of his patients' procedures personally. Dr. Dan Beers is also expert in cataract removal and makes small incisions in the eye to promote rapid healing.

Alongside his work with Peninsula Laser Eye Medical Group, Dr. Dan Beers serves on the adjunct ophthalmology faculty of Stanford University and is Chief of Ophthalmology at El Camino Hospital. Moreover, Dr. Dan Beers is a chief investigator with VISX and assists in the dissemination of the newest vision correction technologies.

An alumnus of the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Dan Beers was a cum laude graduate and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Dan Beers then attended the University of California, San Francisco, for his medical degree, finishing at the top of his class. Following the completion of his MD, Dr. Dan Beers studied at Oregon Health Sciences, where he pursued advanced ophthalmological coursework. In addition, Dr. Dan Beers has trained in the implantation of Visian ICL (implantable collomer lenses).

Residing in Los Altos with his wife and daughters, Dr. Dan Beers enjoys outdoor activities like golfing and biking. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Dan Beers has performed volunteer health work in Mexico and Peru.
